Athletics day
My favourite Athletics event was the 200m sprint and the 60m sprint because when I ran on the 200m sprint I came first. When I ran the 60m sprint I got to have three heats. I felt tied but happy at the end of the day.

planting
In room 8 we have been learning how to plant a seed. First you will need a cup. Second of all you need a piece of tissue and then you will need a seed. Plant the seed in the soil. Give it a little water. Place the cup in the sunshine and watch it grow!

The all blacks will Win.
Go All Blacks. On Wednesday room 8 had a photo taken of us.The person that took the photo of room 8 was Sandy. Sandy was Leah's grandad. We had to pretend to be the crowd at an All Black rugby game. What does cuiture mean to you
I think culture means things like the language you speak. It is the country you are from. Different foods, different styles, different ways of doing things. It is celebrations, songs and dances. It is what makes us special.

Term 2 reflection
One thing I really enjoy about this term is... poety week and Maori language week because I liked
reading the poems. Some of the poems rhymed. I liked learning to say new words in Te Reo Maori
One thing that I found a challenge was arriving at school late, but now I arrive before the bell goes.

The tail was made out of jewellery. There was a costume that was made out of suit cases. It looked like a robot. The colour of the suit cases were brown. It looked very amazing.

Term 1 Reflection
My highlight from term 1is about camp because it was my first time camping with some of my best friends. I got to meet some people that I have not meet before.
What I have improved on is telling the timea clock.
My goal is to always bring my home learning book to school every day and do my spelling at home.

Marmite is back
Marmite Facts
I don't like Marmite because it taste like there is too much salt.
- The Martie factory got damaged in the Christchurch earthquake. But it has now been fixed and Martie is back.
- Martie has been here in New Zealand for over 100 years.
- Martie has very little sugar or fat in it.
- It is a vegetarian spread.

Group Topic Research
For the topic Research Group we are doing the question " how does a seed grow into a plant?" Susanna had to write some facts in her book. We are also doing a diagram on the computer. When we all frnish our topic information we have to read the facts that Susanna wrote in her book to the class. Did you know the seed grows roots so it can stay in the ground and not get blown away.
