What does cuiture mean to you

I think culture means things like the language you speak. It is the country you are from. Different foods, different styles, different ways of doing things. It is celebrations, songs and dances. It is what makes us special.

Term 2 reflection

One thing I really enjoy about this term is... poety week and Maori language week because I liked
reading the poems. Some of the poems rhymed. I liked learning to say new words in Te Reo Maori

One thing that I found a challenge was arriving at school late,but now I arrive before the bell goes.

garment making

Last night on Thursday it was Vardon School's trashion show where every  costume was made out of reusable rubbish at school. Room 4 and room 8 made lolly costumes. The lolly costumes were called liquorice allsort, milk bottles, snakes, fruit burst, jaffas, candy floss and crocodiles.The crocodiles had a promblem with the tail. It was too heavy. So we decided to make Joseph hold the tail in front of him.

Museum trip

Last Friday Room 8 and Room 7 went to the museum. We saw lots of costumes. There was a sheep costume it was made out of  bed matches. The tail was made out of jewellery.There was a costume that was made out of  suit cases. It looked like a robot. The colour of the suit cases were brown. It looked very amazing. 

Term 1 Reflection

My highlight from term 1is about camp because it was my first time camping with some of my best friends.  I got to meet some people that I have not meet before.
What I have improved on is telling the timea clock.
My goal is to always  bring my home learning book to school every day and do my  spelling at home.

Marmite is back

         Marmite Facts

• The Martie factory got damaged in the Christchurch  earthquake.But it has now been fixed and Martie is back.
• Martie has been here in New Zealand for over 100 years.
• Martie has very little sugar or fat in it.
• It is a vegetarian spread.

      My Opinion

I don't like Marmite because it taste like there is too  much salt.
